Case Studies of Teamoty Logistics

Urban area in Lyon (France)

At stake

The Part-Dieu neighborhood in Lyon is in a vast process of re-invention. About 50 job sites for offices, residential buildings and public works – among which the extension of the train station – take place in parallel during several years.

The logistical scheme obliges all job sites to transit through one of two regulation areas, located north and south of the city. From there, the trucks must follow pre-defined itineraries with a frequency of one truck per 3 minutes on each itinerary.

Our services

Teamoty Logistics is operating as usual on each of the job sites, or interfaced with an existing solution. In addition, the delivery requests of all job sites are centralized in a specific module of Teamoty. This allows to validate the requests by respecting the global frequency of 3 minutes on each itinerary.

Our impact

The Lyon Part-Dieu scheme is a pioneering solution. It has been implemented in September 2019. 6 months later, it had aggregated 17 job sites and had proven its proper functioning. Co-ordinating job site logistics at the scale of an urban area is possible, thanks to Teamoty!

High-rise in Marseille (France)

At stake

La Marseillaise is a new 31-floor tower in the seafront skyline of Marseille.

Logistics needed to be optimized on the restricted space of the building site, in order to receive the materials, in particular the fiber-reinforced concrete façade elements that were pre-fabricated off-site.

Our services

Teamoty Logistics has ensured the scheduling of deliveries up to the destination floor. 300 different destination zones were active in the course of the construction. The capacity constraints were related to the access paths and to the hoisting means at the same time.

Our impact

The use of Teamoty Logistics has granted an efficient orchestration during all stages of the building site.

« Contractors enter the supply needs in TEAMOTY, let’s say 48 hours, 72 hours or a week in advance, and indicate their requests for daily transfer, floor by floor and zone by zone. » Guillaume Lecat, head of logistics on the job site of La Marseillaise (interview on: www.voxlog.fr)

Hotel & Spa in Saint-Jean-de-Luz (France)

At stake

Renovation of a hotel & spa. The job site is located on the seafront, in the midst of adjacent buildings and pedestrian passageways. Some delivery trucks access the job site via the beach. It mattered to control the delivery traffic. In addition, the site wanted to measure its carbon footprint.

Our services

Teamoty Logistics ensures the co-ordination of incoming deliveries. Crane, lift and forklift trucks are booked at the same time as the delivery slot. Each delivery request indicates its origin in order to feed the carbon footprint calculation and by doing this, improve the ecological handling of the job site.

Our impact

With Teamoty, the urban and logistical constraints are well managed. Since the job site is divided into sectors (spa, hotel), each sector co-ordinator validates the deliveries for his or her sector, within a fluid overall co-ordination. Without a hitch.

Particular attention is paid the delivery requests of concrete, so to program the production of the different concrete mixtures at the on-site concrete mixer plant.

Our impact

A big job site such as this quickly climbs above the mark of 10,000 deliveries and 100 users. The staff members on the site use tablets as well as on-premise screens for displaying the information on expected deliveries. The public development authority of La Défense is informed about the real impact of the job site on the district’s road traffic.
