Digitization at a General Contractor in Morocco
A general contractor is going digital. The teams are adopting digital solutions to better collaborate and simplify communication. Teamoty is chosen for “railroad” schedules previously made in spreadsheet format. A set of more than 100 dwellings and a tertiary tower are chosen as the first projects.
Teamoty Scheduling is used for planning, progress tracking and updates. It generates the productivity matrix (“Workflow” representation) that the company usually uses to visualize progress macroscopically through a set of colors, zone by zone, task by task.
The Lean team of the company quickly acquired its autonomy in the use of Teamoty. It is now considering its implementation on the next construction sites.
Lean Construction in Normandy
The Lean referent of a general contractor is looking for a more efficient solution than the spreadsheet for managing the planning of its sites. To have the possibility of piloting the planning in digital, to distribute it in a few clicks, to easily show it at a meeting on site: these are the needs.
A pilot site is designated. Two new projects soon followed. A wider circle of employees are being trained in the tool. After only a few months, the decision is made to generalize Teamoty Scheduling to all projects managed in Lean.
Expectations are met, the progress of the site is fluid without particular difficulties.
Corporate Head Office in Switzerland
A head office must be renovated, without interrupting its operation. The work schedule is composed of successive sprints, and compliance with intermediate milestones is crucial because at each phase of the teams are moved. At all times, it is necessary to anticipate the impact of the site on the employees who work in the adjacent areas. The project mobilizes several architects and design offices.
Teamoty Scheduling continuously provides the latest version of the schedule and the progress of the project, which everyone can consult. It gives a geo-temporal vision which makes it possible to understand the impact zone by zone. A floor being broken down into 12 zones on average.
So far no delay on the delivery of successive phases. The latest sprint will be different given the context of the COVID-19 health crisis: Teamoty Scheduling is used to reorganize the work to make the most of the coming weeks.
